Just wanted to thank you for your work with it. I was about to start building one when I happened upon yours. Brilliant work!

No... all the thanks go to you. This slider is more than I could have ever dreamed up. I will be donating to you as well as the RN team after I scrape it together (gotta get my license back from the state, kids birthdays in nov, Christmas trip, gifts etc)

I can't thank you and the RN team enough for all y'alls hard work. Absolutely unbelievable.

Y'all are amazing and why I am soooooo glad I chose to build our platform on RN.

---------

On a side note... Do you plan to further update the slider? If not... when I get the time and drive... I was thinking about adding an upload option so that the pictures could be grabbed from the pc itself. If you are already planning that... I don't want to waste the time and effort. Again... thanks a million!!!

RavenNuke has a great group of developers as well as a great leader with a clear vision for the CMS.

I had thought about an upload option, but my biggest concern was security. Many upload scripts can lead to hack attempts and that is why I did not include one. I also find ftp the fastest way to upload images.

Good point from bobby but what I would like to see is the option to create more categories inside the admin because we only have 6 but if you want to add more then u need to copu and paste inside the code 6 times more. it is not difficult but it is not easy for beginners. Anyway, this is an amazing idea and I support it. Count on me for any modification.

Totally understand. I was thinking about that tonight on the way home from work because I saw that same thing repeated about the upload modules that seemed to die out. However, being that it's in the admin area... wouldn't the site already be compromised prior to the upload script being uploaded?

Anywho... Since I don't use right side blocks on my site... I edited the slider to cover the extra space as well as tweaked the install script to allow the titles to max out at 30. For anyone who happens on this in the future and doesn't want to have to manually change it. (may already be in the forums... I didn't check)

Very cool.

The security concern is not as much with the upload script as it is with having a folder with permissions of 777. If a server is running phpsuexec, you can upload to folders that are 755 which is much safer on shared servers. If your server is not running phpsuexec, the upload directory has to be 777 which can be an open invitation to a compromised shared server if mod_php is not configured correctly.
